de Havilland Mosquito bomber Mk XVI ML963 of 571 Squadron. This is a project for an infograph of the Mosquito.
The Mosquito, also known as the 'Wooden Wonder' the Mosquito was a British light bomber of World War II powered by two Rolls Royce Merlin engines. The aircraft was so fast the bomber version did not carry defensive weapons. As well as bomber versions, the aircraft was also produced in day fighter, night fighter, intruder, reconnaissance and fast transport versions.

ML963 failed to return from a pathfinder bombing mission on the night of 10-11 April 1945, both crew members survived and evaded capture returning to the squadron by the end of the month.

The image will also be used on a 'RAF Bombers of WW2' poster.
